
LUIS PUCHADES
ALGEMESÍ 1973
Luis Puchades (Algemesí, 1973), is a plastic artist who currently lives and works in Gata de Gorgos (Alicante). He has lived in Valencia, Logroño, A Coruña, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Barcelona where he has developed part of his art and design career.
On the one hand, this plastic artist constantly investigates different techniques and possibilities in painting as a fundamental part of an introspective and retrospective process, as a language of understanding life and the nature that surrounds us.
On the other hand, this plastic artist has adapted his knowledge in the development of a long creative career having explored the possibilities of applying color, textures and shapes in different sectors related to the world of design and crafts: yarns, fabrics, pattern making, knitting, fashion, footwear, bags, furniture, interior design, graphic design and illustration, working for firms such as Lladró, Hermes, Francis Montesinos, Angela Arregui and Hanníbal Laguna among many others.
His contribution to the world of fashion has been highly valued. In collaboration with Teresa Candela they developed the costumes for Miss Spain Lorena Bernal. His Haute Couture creations have been exhibited internationally in Paris, Milan, New York, Dubai and Singapore.
His artistic creations of painting, sculpture and other disciplines are permanently exhibited at Espacio14 Art Gallery in Gata de Gorgos.
His plastic work has been exhibited in Valencia and Denia on several occasions, his works of art are part of private collections internationally.
